Your Battle

There is a battle over you today (and you probably do not feel like you are winning).

Everywhere around you, there is chaos, and that doesn't include what's happening in your heart and mind. The enemy is real, the battle is real, and it is impacting your life.

We miss what we can't see clearly. So lean in, and let's look with a clear lens at the battle that is being waged over you today;

Satan’s strategy is to win over our mind;

God fights for our heart.

Satan says, "protect yourself";

God says, "I've got everything she needs".

Satan distracts us with promises of self-help;

God whispers quietly to remain still.

Satan throws spears of doubt;

God shields us with the words, “she’s worthy”.

Satan stages an ambush to make us feel alone;

God holds us tighter as the smoke rises and fades.

Satan says, “you’ll never win”;

God says one word, “Jesus”.

You've already won today. Jesus' miraculous death and resurrection have broken chains that Satan is trying to wrap you in again. Remind him that you're all set, that you're good. You don't need his help today. The battlefield is a mess, but you've got that victory stride. Let the Devil see your back as you walk away, following Jesus, your Hope for victory everyday.

"And that about wraps it up. God is strong, and he wants you strong. So take everything the Master has set out for you, well-made weapons of the best materials. And put them to use so you will be able to stand up to everything the Devil throws your way. This is no afternoon athletic contest that we’ll walk away from and forget about in a couple of hours. This is for keeps, a life-or-death fight to the finish against the Devil and all his angels."

"Be prepared. You’re up against far more than you can handle on your own. Take all the help you can get, every weapon God has issued, so that when it’s all over but the shouting you’ll still be on your feet. Truth, righteousness, peace, faith, and salvation are more than words. Learn how to apply them. You’ll need them throughout your life. God’s Word is an indispensable weapon. In the same way, prayer is essential in this ongoing warfare. Pray hard and long. Pray for your brothers and sisters. Keep your eyes open. Keep each other’s spirits up so that no one falls behind or drops out."

Ephesians 6:10-18 MSG

With Love,

Em
