There is a good chance that you’re waking up again this morning without the entire answer that you've been waiting for.
Let me show you a guy who also had limited vision of the whole picture.
God gave Peter a vision but revealed each step on God-time. A little dazed and confused, Peter just kept moving forward in obedience until God did reveal the whole picture to him. He didn't give up on any word or nudge from God. Personally, I understand Peter's "dazed and confused" stride a little too well, I really do, but I often then turn my focus to things that I can control.
“While Peter was wondering about the vision...” (vs. 17)
“While Peter was still thinking about the vision...” (vs.19)
Peter kept his eyes on Jesus. But imagine if Peter had turned away defeated and frustrated over a lack of answers. We wouldn’t be reading the story of God expanding His word about the forgiveness of sins to ALL people for ALL of time. Peter's vision from God ultimately proclaimed the Good News for ALL people, not just the Jews. This was a history-making, truly epic moment.
If God moved based on our pace, then He would ultimately have to submit to our plan. It sounds like a decent plan until we confess that our pace will never be perfect because nothing perfect flows out of flawed + broken vessels.
Our job is to move forward without objection in the direction God has called us. Then, we start running without hindrance, no plans of our own to hold us back or weigh us down in doubt of what God is doing.
Because here’s what you need to know; If God has set you in motion, He will complete the task and transformation. He is not a God of half-way promises. And He’s not a God of incomplete work.
So, take what feels like empty space with a lack of answers and turn that into PRAISE today to a God who can’t help but transform each step into a complete, life-changing story.
With Love, Em
