No Blank Pages

Time matters more to God than it does to us.

THIS time, right now, matters more to God than it does to us.

The way that we have viewed time has changed in recent weeks. What used to feel like rushed chaos has turned into many slow, reflective days. Many of us are grieving, whether it be a job or the loss of connection with our people, or even the loss of someone we love and we cannot see the end of this. We may have questioned God's timing before all of this, but now, we are uncertain of our timeline more than ever.

Even in the “Great Pause” (as I read it called in a recent article), God is incapable of wasting the time that He created. God's perceived “slowness” is actually His patience with us.

God's patience with us is a gift that we don’t deserve. God has literally gifted you with time today.

Christians, time equals opportunity for you. Not an opportunity to become the best Christian version of yourself, but time to help others find and know God. We become more like Jesus as we use His gift of time to make Him known.

God sees your past, your today, and your future all at once. He’s got the book of your life already written, and there are no blank pages. Trust Him with your entire story, which includes the timeline of this moment.

“But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: with the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.” 2 Peter 3:8-9

With Love,

Em
