It's More than OK.

If you’re waking up with a heavy heart because you're convinced that God is pining over your mistakes this week, then I want to encourage you this morning; Forgiveness and restoration are His thing, burdens of guilt are NOT.

But, here's the thing; God doesn’t just give a passive nod of forgiveness and say, “it’s ok.” Nope.

Hosea 2:19-20 says, “I will betroth you to Me forever; I will betroth you in righteousness and justice in love and compassion, I will betroth you in faithfulness.”

That fancy word “betroth” represents the first part of marriage; the engagement. In other words, He will forever engage us in the chase, the pursuit, the part of the relationship that is enthralling.

God's love sees our mistakes and offers us freedom from them, not guilt for them.

In and out of our faults, God's love is as intoxicated with us as a couple, madly in love, ready to get married, but the roots of God's love for us grow deeper than time itself.

God’s excitement and love for us don’t fade like after an engagement. He is forever and always enthralled, no matter what our week has looked like, no matter what our thoughts have been, no matter how many times you’ve declared, “mommy needs a timeout” in this stay-at-home gig we are in.

God is leaning in this morning with righteousness, justice, love, compassion, and faithfulness. So throw aside the guilt. You’re more than ok. You’re HIS. ❤️

With Love,

Em
