As Christians (party of Christ!) we literally have the Upper Hand.
The phrase “with a Mighty Hand and an Outstretched arm” has gripped my mind this week from Deuteronomy 26:8 because it’s repeated so often. It's important, and God wants us to know something.
Upon my frantic studying, I found this super simple answer; God extends His arm to those through whom He plans to fulfill His purpose (in other words, whoever has chosen Him!)
He is not perched far away. He is not semi-involved. At all times His arm delivers the power that we don’t have while His mighty hand produces the fruit from our obedience.
Why does this matter? Because on the days that we feel that He may be out of reach, His strong arm is extended fully to us. In the times that we’ve become weary, His Hand has already gone before us.
We can approach today in confidence because of our God Who goes before us with His sleeves rolled up. I can rest in that today, you too? ❤️
“With whom My Hand will be established; my arm also we strengthen him.” Psalm 89:21
With Love,
Em
