A Right Now God

He is a right now God.

You may not get your answer right now, but He is still a right now God.

In fact, you can have the very best of life all at once with God right now.

I think most of us believe that we have to work up to intimacy, connection, and real communion with God. We’ve experienced waiting for answered prayer before, but waiting is what we do, God is always working.

I love reading the book of Acts, specifically chapter 9, that expands on the conversion of Saul from Christian killer to Christ-Preacher.

Saul destroyed the lives of Christians for a living, and then God called him out on the road. As Saul recognized God, Saul got to experience the right now God. At the moment, God changed his heart and the trajectory of his entire life.

When Saul obeyed, God immediately gave him the ability to preach and teach truth. This came immediately from the right now, God. Acts 9:20.

And when Saul refused to sink back into his comfortable old ways, the church everywhere immediately began to experience peace and was strengthened. In this time, it grew in numbers and influence. Acts 9:31.

We get to experience the right now God the moment that we turn our face in his direction. He never turns us away. What we get with God at that moment is His fullness, never just a piece of Him. All at once, right now.

So many of us are aching for “right now” God. But when we understand that God can still give us everything all at once, even when He gives nothing at all, then we understand what Saul knew; every moment in His presence is a right now moment with God.

Right now, you can know His goodness, His faithfulness, His plan for you, and His insane love for you. Let’s not forget that stepping towards God brings instant hope and joy and purpose.

What are you waiting for?

With Love,

Em
